The Charity Runner Program is the American Cancer Society's signature endurance event program which gives runners and athletes alike the opportunity to participate in races while dedicating their experience to the fight against cancer. Since its inception, the program has helped over 3,000 athletes accomplish their goal of completing a marathon, half marathon, or triathlon while raising more than $3 million to support cancer research, education, advocacy, and patient services. On average, The American Cancer Society's Charity Runner program incurs expenses of less than 10%, making the program one of the most fiscally effective programs of its kind in the endurance event market.
